Terms and conditions

What the service is

We operate a referral service that connects homeowners and property decision makers with independent local HVAC providers. We are not a contractor and we do not perform heating or cooling work.

Connecting you with a provider is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a guarantee of that provider’s availability, workmanship, pricing or conduct. Each provider is an independent business.

No warranty on work performed

All contractors and providers reached through this service are independent. HVAC Emergency USA does not warrant or guarantee any work performed by them.

Any dispute about work carried out, pricing agreed, or service received is between you and the provider who performed it. We are not party to that agreement and cannot adjudicate it.

Your responsibilities

It is your responsibility to verify that any contractor you hire holds the licence and insurance required for the work being performed in your jurisdiction. State licensing registers are linked from each state page on this site.

You are responsible for agreeing scope and price with the provider before work begins, and for the accuracy of the information you give the operator.

Content on this site

Cost figures published on this site are estimates based on ranges reported by providers. They are not quotes and they do not bind any provider. The price that applies is the one the provider confirms on site.

Technical content is general guidance, not instructions to carry out work yourself. Gas, refrigerant and electrical work are regulated and should only be performed by appropriately qualified and certified technicians.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HVAC Emergency USA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from work performed by an independent provider, from reliance on general guidance published here, or from the unavailability of any provider.

These terms may be updated. The version published on this page at the time you use the service is the one that applies.
